You know how you have a favorite Chinese takeout place close by? And you know how you probably tried about 36 different ones before you finally found *the one*..you know what I’m talking about. Finding the best chinese food can be hard work! 😉 Well that’s what we went through in Maine before we found our favorite.

I’ve mentioned before that my husband isn’t the biggest chinese food fan, but when we found a place that he actually liked, I was able to convince him to get it a few times.

Then we had to move completely across the country, and into a place that is three times as populated as Maine was, so the amount of chinese takeout has basically tripled. And now our search has started all over again…tough, huh?

Well, for now, I try to make it at home sometimes. It’s tasty, probably better for us, (definitely), but I’m usually not looking to eat healthy when I order chinese takeout anyways..bring on the fried rice and all that thick, perfect sauce! This General Tso’s Chicken is easy and super good! If you’re not a fan of thighs, toss some cooked chicken breasts up in the sauce, because for real..the sauce MAKES it!

  6. In an oven proof skillet, over medium-high heat, heat up the olive oil.
  7. Sear the chicken thighs on each side, until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle about 1/2-3/4 of the sauce over the chicken thighs and pop them in the oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  9. When you remove them from the oven, drizzle the remaining sauce on top of each thigh. Enjoy!
