Happy Hour!

I read Fangirl this week withing 24 hours after Jessica recommended it. I loved it. I hardly ever take the time to read, because I get really really sucked into books and I pretty much neglect everything else around me. (Except my kids.) But nothing really gets done when I have a good book in my hands. So as much as I love to read, I try to only read a book a couple times a month or else it will suck all my time up. I really loved ‘Fangirl’ though. I was pretty bummed out when it ended. Like, ‘Now what am I supposed to do?’ It’s a problem.

My husband comes back tomorrow. I’ve been playing single mom all week. He’s been out in the field. I usually hate it when he leaves, it’s usually a lot more work. But my kids have been fantastic this week, and it’s actually been nice because I’ve caught up on a lot of things that I normally wouldn’t when he’s home. At night I try to spend time with him, so any blog work or reading (see above) generally doesn’t get done. I miss him of course, but the time to myself to be accomplished is a nice feeling too.

With that said, tomorrow also marks two weeks exactly, to his BOLC graduation day and I could not be more ecstatic to hightail it the heck out of here. Five months in a hotel with two little kids is enough to drive anyone to drink. 😉 They’re boys, they need space, and I can’t wait to get it. Also, staying in hotel has completely lost it’s allure and magic to me. Unless you throw me in a 5 Star all-inclusive resort on a Caribbean beach. I could totally see the magic in that!

My moms coming to visit! I can’t wait. She’s coming to help me move my kids up to Washington, while my husband drives our car all the way there, and stay with us for almost a week while we try to find a house. Not having to drag our kids along to 20+ house showings is going to make life so much easier. She is my life saver, I don’t know how I would do half of this without her.

Speaking of finding a house. My husband will arrive the night of the 9th. We will start looking for a place to live the very next day, but everything that we own, that’s been in storage since November, is being delivered the 17th. That gives us exactly seven days to find a house and seal the deal. We will definitely be scrambling. But it sure is exciting!

Are you sick of hearing me talk about moving yet? Can you sense how much I hate this place yet?

Have you seen the new flavor oreos floating around? I’m kind of dying. They’re the only cookie that Ill store-buy. I barely consider them a cookie, but they are and I’m way to addicted to them. Give me all the cookies. Anyways, it looks like cookie dough Oreo and marshmallow something? I’m not sure how I feel about the marshmallow one, but I am all over the cookie dough. After all, I prefer the dough over a cookie any day.

I got a the new iPhone last weekend. I thought I’d be more excited. Usually when I get a new phone it’s the greatest thing ever. Well, it’s exactly the same as the 4s except for the shape. So there really wasn’t anything to get excited about. Or Im getting old and those things just don’t excite me like they used to? Either way…at least the camera is a little bit better. And now my two year old has one for all his games that I don’t have to worry about getting destroyed!

I’ve been on a country kick lately. All I’ve had my Pandora set to is “Are you gonna kiss me or not?” And I’ve had it playing for like, 5 days straight…and many more weeks before that when my hubs isn’t around. (He hates country!) Anyways, I kind of want to marry Luke Bryan. Bad. So hot…and sometimes I think he’s singing those songs to ME! Cray..I know.

I try to wait until my kids go to bed to crack open a bottle of wine..you know, responsibilities? But I haven’t showered alone in four days, my 13 month old throws anything and everything in the trash. I can’t even tell you how much we’ve lost lately, and my ears are ringing from the whining today. Wine it is.

On that note, I hope you’re relaxing, putting your feet up, and having a cocktail!

Cheers!
